Enjoy the afternoon on a scenic cruise on the river Danube (Donau) from Kelheim to Weltenburg.
We will be passing by the unique Danube gorge heading to the Abbey of Weltenburg. The Benedictine monastery of Weltenburg is the oldest monastery in Bavaria and was founded around 600 A.D. by the monks of St. Columbanus. A visit of the baroque church St. George built in the 18^th century will follow.
In the evening a banquet dinner with typical local dishes in the nearby Klosterschenke – a traditional Bavarian tavern – will be a truly memorable experience.
